Asacol HD Discount Card

I am on Asacol HD. I am really getting sick, literally, of taking these big pills 3 times a day. They make me nauseous. Seems like I don't have any other good options.

Interestingly, once I get all my symptoms to go away the doc said I could continue taking only this medicine to keep symptoms away for good (hopefully).

If Asacol HD is too expensive for you, ask and search around for info on the discount card. This is a must and should make your costs more manageable if you are qualified.

Citrucel, you see.

My doc recommended Citrucel to help with UC and to straighten out general digestion issues. This was after I told him Metamucil was not effective for me.

The pink lemonade Metamucil tastes fine I think, and the standard orange flavor for Citrucel tastes even better in my opinion.

Metamucil is more natural than Citrucel but the latter is better for me!

AccuFlora

I've started to take AccuFlora, my doc recommended it so that's good enough for me! I haven't noticed any side-effects so I will continue taking it.

It is supposed to naturally help digestion, because it has the good stuff from yogurt in it. I'll keep on consuming stuff like Kefir too but sometimes just popping a pill is easier.

I am wary of a supplement claiming something that isn't backed up by the FDA but I don't have much to lose!

Beginning of the End

I think a blog would help me handle having ulcerative colitis. It should be a good way to cope with this and keep track as I beat it. I know it can't be cured but if I do what I need to, I should be alright.

I found out I have it a few months ago. The drugs for it could cost about $1,000 a month. I'll have to see if I can get a decent insurance plan.

This is the beginning of the end... for my problems with this!

Not me, UC!
